Podcasting

What is a podcast?
It is an audio broadcast that has been converted to an MP3 file or other audio file format for playback in a digital music player or computer. An enhanced podcast has both audio and slides.

There are 3 major types of podcasts:
  1. audio only--can use a free recorder program such as audacity (Podcast Basics Wiki)
  2. audio and still images--easy to create in Windows Movie Maker
  3. video (vodcast, video podcast)--easy to create in Windows Movie Maker

Podcasting examples from school districts around the country.
